Excursion to Agrigento and Piazza Armerina
Two culture, the Greek and the Roman in one excursion. The opportunity to visit two ancient places of art, that are listed in the list of UNESCO Heritage Sites.
You will cross Sicilia in a bus accompanied by a guide. The city of Agrigent, located on the South coast of Sicily is famous for the archeological park called “Valley of the Temples”. The park consits of Greek temples which were built between 510 BC and 430 BC which have been conserved very well. At arrival in Agrigento you will visit the “Valley of the Temples” (Giunone, Concordia, Ercole, Zeus, Castore and Polluce). There is the opportunity to have lunch in a restaurant with a nice view on the sea.
Afterwards you will visit Piazza Armerina, situated in the Center of Sicily. The amazing ”Villa Romana del Casale” with the Roman mosaics which decorate almost every room.
Entrance fees for the sites of Agrigento and Piazza Armerina are not included (but it is free for European citizens under the age of 18)
